T.A.Y.O. Awards
( Ten Oustanding Youth Organizations)

Tung nilabay nga simana unom sa napulong gihatag og award sa T.A.Y.O. gumikan sa Visayas og Mindanao. Daku kaayo akong kalipay tung nahibal-an nako kining balita. Tinood lang diay gihapon ang sinultihan, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan”.

SUGBUANONG PUINDOK ARON SUGPUON ANG CHILD ABUSE (Cebu City) – Established in eight public schools in Cebu City, SUPACA educates children about their rights and duties, in the belief this exposure will aid in their becoming more responsible citizens.

TINGOG SA KASANAG (Cagayan de Oro City) – TISAKA isa club of former and current prostituted women engaged in awareness building trainings to help these women get out of this dangerous trade, and educate them on how to better protect themselves.

PHILIPPINE RESCUE 2000 (Cagayan de Oro City) – This club responds to the needs of victims of natural calamities and man-made disasters in Visayas and Mindanao through search and rescue operations and disaster management efforts.

CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION EXERCISE (Bukidnon) – With their Linis-Kweba project, members of CORE undertake a massive cleanliness and rehabilitation program for the caves of Bukidnon.

STA. ANA NATIONAL HIGHSCHOOL MUSICAL DRAMATICS SOCIETY (Davao City) – This theatrical group focuses on teh culture and conditions of Mindanao’s tribal peoples, carrying the message of peace and intercultural understanding.

WATERSHED MANAGEMENT YOUTH COUNICL (Davao City) – An active youth vouce in environmental concerns, this club does not only plant trees, it is also engaged in advocacy work, such as trainings, eco-camps and tours, and lobbying policymakers to pass important legislation to protect Davao’s forests.
